Welcome home, Finley!

This is just the sweetest family, and I was so happy to be welcomed into their stunning home for this lifestyle newborn session with Finley.

Their incredible, renovated farmhouse in the suburbs was an amazing backdrop to have for this session, and the completely redone interior was amazing. When they bought the house, there was a giant walnut tree that had to removed, so they repurposed the wood for shelves in the living room– genius!

Big brother Bailey made sure to make me feel right at home and show me all of his trucks, which I was so honored to see. He was so gentle with Finley throughout the session, making my heart melt. I know Finley has a best friend for life!

Finley had a projectile spit-up that got all over Dad– queue one wardrobe change. Mom had the idea of taking some photos outside under the big tree so she could look back and see just how small the kids were when they moved in.

The best part about doing at-home lifestyle sessions like this is they can really be a natural, collaborative experience! Dad needed an outfit change? No problem! Mom wants to try out something she’s been thinking of for the session? I love it! These kind of sessions allow for so much variation and movement, which is wonderful for me so I can capture every moment.
