This was a beautiful fall evening with the Chavez family for their outdoor lifestyle session!

I met this family for Clark’s newborn session and have had the pleasure of photographing them each year– it’s been so much fun to see how much they’ve grown! At the end of this post I inccluded one of my favorite photos from Clark’s first birthday session.

Gompers Park Lagoon in Chicago is a gorgeous, wooded space and I was so excited to make use of that. I feel like it gave the session this kind of magical, almost fairytale atmosphere. I know the kids loved the park, too! It definitely gave them room to be themselves and gave me plenty of little moments to capture. These kids are a photographers’ dream– they’re easiest kids to get to smile! They break into giggles at the drop of a hat, which is a lot of fun for me as well as the family.
